Our first weekend golf day is coming up next week on Saturday 18th June at Carrick Knowe Golf Club, there are still spaces available to play with the first tee off time at 11am. Friends of members are welcome to play for what is sure to be a great day out, it will be about £18 for the golfers plus a couple of pound for a sweepstake for the winner. Non golfers and kids are also invited to join us in the club house (or even watch some play) where we will retire to watch some Euro 2016 action. The club will open at 1:50pm with the first game Belgium vs Rep Ireland kicking off at 2pm. There are 2 more games Iceland vs Hungary (5pm) and Portugal vs Austria (8pm) that we will also be watching and at some stage I am sure we will venture up town to make a night of it.
Our Golf convener Gus is working hard on the details and needs to know final numbers by Monday at the latest. This is so we can organise food and drinks, the club only have Tennents Lager and Belhaven Best on tap but will order in cans or bottles if you have a different preference. So please get back to a committee member or the mailbox eta@edinburghtartanarmy.com if you intend to go and let us know preference for food and drink. It would be great to see as many there as possible.
